Air Fryer French Fries

These crispy and crunchy Air Fryer French Fries are the perfect way to satisfy that crunchy, salty craving! Grab just a few basic ingredients to make these homemade fries in the air fryer without cleaning up the messy grease of frying!

Prep Time: 12 minutes
Cook Time: 18 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb russet potatoes (2 large or 3 medium potatoes)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste

  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper, or to taste

  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/8 tsp paprika

    Instructions

    1. Prep the potatoes. Scrub and clean the potatoes. Cut them into even 1/4-inch thick strips.

    2. Rinse and dry. Rinse the fries in cold water and thoroughly pat dry.

    3. Season the fries. Add the fries to a large bowl, drizzle with the oil, and toss. Sprinkle the seasonings over the fries and toss again.

    4. Air fry. Transfer the fries to the air fryer basket and cook at 380°F for 10 minutes. Toss the fries and cook for an additional 6–10 minutes, until the fries are golden and crispy.

    5. Serve. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

      Notes

      • Make ahead: Submerge the cut fries in cold water in the fridge until ready to cook, then pat dry.

      • Storage: Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–5 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months. Cook directly from the freezer or fridge by placing the fries back into the air fryer and reheating until warmed through.

      • Feeding a crowd: This recipe was tested in a larger 5.8 qt capacity air fryer. For a smaller air fryer, cook in 2 batches. Once both batches are fully cooked, return them all at once to the air fryer to re-warm for 2 minutes before serving. The second batch may cook a little faster since the basket is preheated.
